Thanks to Ford Motor Company and their Brand Licensing group who helped us create an app which features vintage photos of the Model T, Model A, through today's Ford Fusion Hybrid Pace Cars and concept cars. California based iHomeEducator now releases iLiveMath Ford Cars for elementary grade reading and math with multimedia sounds, video, and photos packed into a Universal App for the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad. iLiveMath Ford Cars teaches addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, average, mean, median, mode, and range with problems that introduce new terms such as mpg, mph, km/h, speedometer, odometer, cars manufactured per day, per week, per year, and much more.
We are always trying to find ways to get our students to use higher thinking skills to solve everyday problems in order to give them ownership to real life applications. We first purchased iLiveMath Ford Cars and really liked how it blends Math applications with history... We contacted iHomeEducator who worked with us to enhance their apps so that we can display the photograph and the word problems using our existing SMART board projectors. Now an entire classroom can benefit from the content and teachers are provided an answer key. My students love the iLiveMath Entomology app too. I would also like to say that iLiveMath apps provide a huge amount of content enriched vocabulary which has in turn extended a simple math lesson into several cross-curricular lessons. We have the entire iLiveMath series and look forward to more from iHomeEducator."

Math is introduced through illustrative word problems which are not just facts on a page, but the student must read, comprehend, analyze, and pick an answer. This process reinforces the students comprehension beyond flashcards.
A natural language engine is built into the app and randomly composes different nouns, verbs, and quantities to create questions and answers that are matched to the photograph and also to the sounds. This engages the students and helps each question seem familiar yet new to reinforce concepts.
