iLiveGrammar™

iLiveGrammar Botany

Available on the iTunes Store:  iLiveGrammar Botany, Winter, and Autumn:  iLiveGrammar uses randomly generated sentences to test grammar while results are tracked and can be sent by email to teachers and parents.

After the great response with iLiveGrammar Botany we decided to take the science theme and expand it even further to teach grammar and the science behind seasons.

One day we were talking about the beautiful autumn leaves. "Do you know why the leaves change colors?" After talking about the science behind the season of autumn our 7th grade product manager said, "Why not develop an app on - Autumn!...

Then a parent on Facebook asked "will there be an iLiveGrammar Winter app?"

The ideas literally "snowballed" from there.

This spring we will be traveling to see the amazing sights of Yosemite which we hope inspires us in compiling photographs for iLiveGrammar Spring... we have some great ideas for summer fun as well.

Using the Apple iPad Dock Connector to VGA Adapter the teacher can control the app as well as display the word problem and photograph on an external projector. Note: The adapter does not mirror the app display but instead pushes the photo and word problem content to the external screen while the answer and formula is given to the teacher within a pop-up view on the device.

iLiveMath Animals of Asia

math app

I wanted to share iLiveMath with my students at school, but did not want to give them access to my iPad. My school has a Promethean Board so after collaborating with iHomeEducator we can now share the teaching content with all my kids using the projector! I teach several units wrapped around the theme of a continent. At this time we are studying Asia and have iLiveMath Animals of Asia as well as Entomology."

iLiveGrammar Winter

math app

It is my hope that in the coming months, that a team of teachers and I will write a grant with the intent of getting iPads in our school. It is my mission to find appropriate applications that can be implemented to teach, reinforce and guide those struggling learners. I believe I have found it in iHomeEducator. I have to iLove this application and intend to share it with my colleagues.
